Hamburg / Schwerin – Following the ground-breaking ceremony in October 2018, the construction work on the solar park in Warlow (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) is in full swing.
At the beginning of December, the construction for the open-space solar plant was started. In parallel, the earthworks are carried out with the cable route. With the delivery of the modules, the solar modules are to be screwed onto the mounting system before Christmas.
The commissioning of the solar park according to EEG is planned for this year. The grid feed-in is planned for the end of January 2019.
At the location a solar system with a capacity of around 750 kWp is being built. The electricity generated per year of approximately 700 megawatts roughly corresponds to the annual electricity demand of 250 two-person households.
In consultation with the local fire brigade, a fire water pond is set up on the premises. In addition to securing the system in the event of a fire, the extinguishing pond with a retention volume of 100 m³, which is freely accessible to the fire brigade, also represents a significant added value for the fire protection of the Warlow community.
VentusVentures acquired the one-hectare property on the outskirts of Warlow in 2017 and is responsible for the project management.
