Hamburg-based VentusVentures Energy GmbH trades in electricity from renewable sources. Its customers are from the private and commercial sectors.

Logo VentusVentures EnergyThe electricity comes from our own generation plants, such as our solar parks in Warlow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) and Schmerzke (Brandenburg) – a total of approx. 10 MW of installed capacity.
A further 138 MW of photovoltaic and wind energy in Schleswig-Holstein and Vorpommern are currently in the project development phase.

To store the energy, we use batteries from electric bus fleets in local public transport, among other things, with whose operators our sister company eMIS concludes electricity supply contracts. The plannable consumption of the transport companies allows VentusVentures Energy to take advantage of opportunities in the electricity market.

Other consumers in the balancing group include the campus properties of our second sister company, BauMV. BauMV develops new construction projects in the municipal sector and offers energy-efficient renovations. Here, too, a sustainable energy solution for electricity, heating and cooling is always included – including the supply of energy. One example of this is our multi-purpose campus in Ludwigslust.

By bundling energy production, storage and consumption in a group of companies, a scalable network of balancing groups is created that mutually support each other and enable the efficient use of renewable energies. Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are concluded in all three areas. The balancing group manager monitors the entire system and procures any balancing energy that may be required.
