Ventus Maritime – Mobile Shore Power
Ventus Maritime is mobilizing shore power supply in German seaports: we bring shore power battery containers to every berth. This means maximum flexibility for port operators and shipowners. There is no need to construct and extensively wire connections at the quay. The Ventus Maritime Floating Power Unit “refuels” electricity at the Energy Hub; however, it also serves as buffer storage for the public power grid until the next use. The electricity market integration enables the port operator to generate additional revenue.
Ventus Maritime is part of the VentusVentures Group, which combines renewable energy generation plants (wind and solar) with smart storage solutions and energy trading. We offer calculable fees for port operators, shipping companies, transport companies and real estate owners.
Our electricity comes from our own generation plants and from energy trading. By bundling energy production, storage and consumption in a single group of companies, a scalable network of balancing groups is created that mutually support each other and enable the efficient use of renewable energies. Power purchase agreements (PPAs) are concluded in all areas. Balancing group managers monitor the system.
